Challenge: Modern, cloud-native key management system

The facilities team at Waverley Council was seeking a modern, cloud-native access control solution for keys that provides flexibility, remote management, and can evolve with their future needs. It was critical that the key management system be seamlessly integrated with Inner Range access control. With hundreds of staff and contractors accessing keys daily, the council required a single platform to manage and monitor key transactions across all locations.

It was critical that Integriti be the ‘single source of truth’ for user credentials, eliminating the need for Waverley to manage users and monitor alarms and events across disparate systems.

Solution: Torus + Inner range integrated – access control solution for keys

The council and their security integrator, ECS selected Torus. To date 8 Torus cabinets have been installed across 7 sites.  A single Torus software account is integrated with Integriti Innerrange and has delivered Waverley, a unified platform to secure keys when they aren’t used and provide controlled access to authorized staff and contractors. The integration with Integriti makes it easy for administrators to manage staff and contractors’ permission to access keys – via Integriti.

Torus eliminated the burden on staff managing keys and time wasted to receive and return keys. They now have real time visibility over who has what keys and when. Now that their key management is automated, Waverly is saving an enormous amount of staff and contractors time every year.
